Easy vehicles include, without any extra charges, liability insurance, covering third parties, bodily injury or property damage up to $ 3,000,000, according to the provisions set forth by the Argentinian law.
Such insurance does not include any coverage on damages caused by collision, robbery, overturn and vandalism or the weather, nor on the theft of personal items inside the vehicle.
CDW: Collision Damage Waiver
CDW is not insurance. This is an optional coverage that may be hired to partially exempt the customer from the economic responsibility regarding crashes or damages to the vehicle they are driving.
If the customer does NOT hire the CDW: he shall be responsible for repair expenses up to a maximum fee equivalent to the value set forth by the deductible, according to the category of the rented vehicle.
Categories; A, B, C; deductible in case of crash, damages or overturn $ 7,000.
Categories: P and N; deductible in case of crash, damages or overturn; $ 14,000.
At the moment of renting the vehicle, the company will request an authorization in the driver’s credit card for an amount equivalent to the deductible of the rented category.
That authorization will be valid on the customers credit card, until the vehicle is returned in perfect condition. If so, we will cancel the authorization by calling the credit card.
If the customer does hire the "CDW":
He shall reduce the maximum deductible amount and will only be responsible for the payment of a non-exemptible amount that will vary according to the category of the rented vehicle.
Categories; A, B, C; deductible in case of crash or damages: $ 700.
Categories: P and N; deductible in case of damages: $ 1,400.
In this case, no amount will be taken as a deposit. However, proceedings may be followed to check that the credit card has enough funds to cover the minimum compulsory deductible.
(Overturn does not reduce the deductible; it preserves its original value because it is considered to be under the responsibility of the driver not to drive at high speed).
